We’ve weathered the storm! The skies are now clear. The Greased Pig Contest is under way. The tents have been secured, the food vendors are cooking up a storm, the Prince & Princess are being introduced and the entertainment tonight is Good Night Gracie from 8-11pm.

So now let’s enjoy the evening together with some fine entertainment!

Demolition Derby – Hoagland Days


Demolition Derby – The Most Highly Attended Event at the Festival is a Go!

You can almost hear the engines roaring as the event coordinators and participates prepare for the 2015 Demolition Derby at Hoagland Days. The Festival and the Derby is still on as the Steering Committee, HAAA Board of Directors and festival volunteers work hard to make the ground ready for this major event of the festival come rain or shine.

So put on the galoshes and don your slickers – we’ll see you at the Derby!

Friday & Saturday 7:30pm (A)

Gate Fees: $8 per adult | $1 per child (ages 1-9) | No refunds. No rain checks.

Want to enter the Derby?

Food Court

There are a variety of local organizations represented at the Food Court during Hoagland Days who are looking to raise funds for various projects.

Amusement Rides

6pm (M)
Amusement rides (by Anderson Amusements) can be found on the Midway (M). It will take 2-3 tickets per ride.

PRE-SALE tickets can be purchased at Mel’s Town Market at $13 per sheet of 20 tickets.

Tickets sold at the festival are as follows: $18.00 per sheet of 20 at Hoagland Days; $15.00 per wrist band good for four (4) hours, and $1.00 for a single ticket.

Merchants’ Tent

6-10pm (MT)

Hoagland’s Festival offers one of the largest Merchants’ Tents (M) in the area. There is a great mix of nearly 40 vendors. Vendors include: local churches, construction and home remodeling, service offerings, and a variety of retail vendors with goods to sell.

Adult Beverage Tent

6pm – Midnight (ABA)

Adult Beverages will be sold. Must be 21 years to enter. IDs are required. Live Entertainment!

Prince & Princess Contest – Introductions

6:30 – 7pm (EA)

The reigning 2014 Prince & Princess, Evan Otis and Mackenzie Fuess will be on hand to help introduce the 2015 Contestants.

The community helps to choose the winners by donating their change to collection cans throughout the community. Every CENT counts as one vote. So empty your pockets and make a deposit every time you see a collection can – for every CENT counts as one vote. You’ll find a collection can in local businesses throughout your community.

Razz M’ Jazz Dance Studio (EA) at 7pm

Good Night Gracie (EA) from 8-11pm

Catch Me If You Can


Greased Pig Contest – “You Can’t Catch Me!”

Whether a participant or spectator, this event is fun for the entire family!

Participants must register before the event begins. Entry forms for the competition are available in the June HAAA newsletter.

Rules include: 1) Parents must sign an insurance form for each participant before contest. 2) All participants must wear shoes – no sandals. Age limit is HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS.

This is one of our most popular events with the greatest number of participants. Please arrive early and come prepared with your entry forms completed in full.

Hoagland Days – Fun in the Summertime

Spring is here and the sun is shining! That means Hoagland Days is just around the corner! At least it is for the organizers of the festival.

This is our 44th year for the FESTIVAL and we’re going “way out” to create a community celebration, and this year Hoagland belongs to the 60’s – Groovy Man! Hoagland Days includes a Grand Parade, Amusement Rides, a Demolition Derby, Kiddie Tractor Pull, Entertainment and Good Food.

That’s some radically hip family fun!
